MSAE Plans 'Hybrid' Events for Fall and Declares GAME ON!

Join us in person OR virtually on October 14, 2020 for a Hybrid Lunch & Learn!

After eight months of not meeting in person, MSAE will slowly and safely move back to in-person activities in October and November. As long as the Covid-19 cases in Mississippi remain as they have over the last couple of months, we will begin “Hybrid” meetings. This
concept will allow for a small number of members, who feel comfortable, to meet in person, while others may participate electronically, but live.

These gatherings will follow all safety guidelines set forth by the Centers of Disease Control and the State of Mississippi. We will have temperature checks, space attendees at least six feet apart, require attendees to complete a set of COVID-19 exposure-related questions and wear a face covering.

On October 14th, Craig Ray, Mississippi’s Director of Tourism will address MSAE members in person and virtually at the Mississippi Society of CPAs office’s training room. Craig Ray returned to the Mississippi Development Authority as Director of Tourism in 2016 after serving as a Principal in The Talon Group, LLC, a government relations firm providing advice, advocacy and access to federal and state government agencies.

As we all know, as this pandemic continues, it changes our experiences, operations and plans almost daily. Ray will discuss the latest health and safety guidelines for face-to-face meetings and professional networking gatherings. He will also keep us abreast of the latest affects COVID-19 has had on hospitality industry in our state and offer information about helping to improve the environment of travel and meetings in state.
